Terms of Use

The sauna designer and the guides help you plan. Safe wiring, stove clearances, permits and the build itself stay with you, your electrician and your building department.

Using the site

thesaunaplanner.com is operated by Westernmost LLC, 32 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms.

A planning aid, not engineering or electrical advice

The Sauna Planner produces sizes, checks, drawings, cut lists, materials lists, prices and printable plans from the options you choose, using heater makers' published data, standard framing conventions and our own stated defaults. The results are estimates. They are not an engineered design, not reviewed for your site, and not an approval of any wiring, stove installation, chimney or clearance.

Sauna heaters and wood stoves can cause fire, burns and electric shock if they are installed wrongly. Install every heater and stove exactly as its manufacturer's manual says, including clearances, guards, wire size, breaker size, sensor placement and chimney parts. Electric heaters must be connected by a licensed electrician. Get the permits your jurisdiction requires before you build.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the safe construction and use of anything you build, for choosing suitable materials, for working safely, and for complying with all laws, codes, permits, zoning and homeowners association rules. Prices are the stores' list prices on the date shown; freight, tax and your local prices will differ.

No warranty

The site, the designer, the plans and the guides are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness and fitness for a particular purpose. The only exception is the guarantee on a builder's plan you buy, below.

Buying a builder's plan

The designer and the guides cost nothing. You can also buy a builder's plan: a PDF made for the exact sauna you design, for a one-time payment of $39 (US dollars, plus any sales tax shown at checkout). There is no subscription.

Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card. After payment you go to a download page, and we email you a receipt with a link to your plan. Your plan does not expire: whenever you need it again, go to Get my plan and enter the email address you paid with, and we email you a fresh link that works for 48 hours. Each plan shows the buyer's email address in its footer. If a payment is refunded, its plan can no longer be downloaded, and while a payment is disputed with the card issuer, its plan is not available.

Our guarantee: if our plan has an error, we fix it or refund you. An error means the plan does not match the design you bought, or a number, drawing or calculation in it is wrong. Email us from the address you paid with.

Because the plan is delivered immediately, we do not refund a change of mind once it has been downloaded. If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you are asked at checkout to agree to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to withdraw once the download starts. None of this limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Westernmost LLC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of the site or of any plan, list, check or guide, including fire, injury, damage to property, material costs, fines or changes required by a local authority.

Plans and content

You may use the designer and print its output for your own personal sauna, and share it with the people helping you build and with your local authority. You may not resell it or offer it as a product or service without written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing here takes away the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country.
